Tell Tell Water by Devin Knight

One of the most unusual card revelations ever created. Suitable for both stage and parlor conditions.

The performer talks about the research being done in Japan with water. He further comments that current research suggests that water can be influenced by our emotions, words and thoughts. In fact, there are several best-selling books on the subject.

He offers to demonstrate. He shows an empty old fashion quart-size milk bottle and also a pitcher of water. A spectator freely selects a card and commits it to memory.

The performer then fills the bottle with water. He places a card case over the mouth of the bottle and turns it upside down. He removes his hand and the water remains suspended inside the bottle defying gravity!

He says, "Let's see if the water will react to certain words." He holds the inverted bottle over the pitcher. He asks the lady to think of her card. He says, "RED", and nothing happens. He then says, "BLACK", and water gushes forth into the pitcher! He says, "RED" again and the water stops completely!

"Let's try the suits", he explains. He names all four suits and the water gushes forth when the right suit is named and stops when a wrong suit is named. Next, he tries it with values. When the correct value of the card (say a 4) is named, the water gushes forth. When wrong it the water stops.

Finally, he calls off a random card and nothing happens. He then says the name of the card selected AND THE WATER GUSHES FORTH UNTIL THE JUG IS EMPTY!

BONUS EFFECT: AeroStatic Bottle
A classic effect from years gone by. The magician shows a pitcher of water (you supply your own pitcher) and an old-fashion milk bottle. He pours the water from the pitcher into the milk bottle and then places the pitcher on the floor. The magician covers the top of the milk bottle with a playing card and turns it upside-down. When the card is removed, the water stays in the bottle defying gravity. At the magicians command, the water starts gushing out of the bottle. Not tinkling, or slowly leaking, but GUSHING! When the magician commands, the water flow stops completely. A real audience pleaser that appears totally impossible. This effect alone has sold for as much as $90.00 in the past.
